Brent,

When you used AppleScript, did you first ask:

    get name of folder id 1

What did it give as the name?

Since you've said that you don't have any language kit installed, I think
you may have a corrupted font. Do you have your List Items font in
Edit-->Preferences -->General-->Fonts set to Verdana or something else? You
might want to get a font repair utility. But first just try removing that
font from your Fonts folder in System folder: you'll have to quit all
applications first. Restart your computer. Then launch Entourage - it should
do a First Run, I think, to re-install your fonts.

But I don't know why it would affect just the Inbox name.
