I don't know the answer.

When hitting such problems, I typically try:
get foo
set tmpfoo to foo
get bar of foo
set tmpbar to bar of foo
get bogon of bar of foo
set tmpbogon to bogon of bar of foo
Working my way down the entire hierarchy to see if I can isolate exactly
what's not working.
I try both get and set because sometimes things are different...
This is especially useful when viewing the events that are being exchanged
and the results at each step. Then you can at least guestimate whether or
not things look correct.

Um...moderately, but it's totally dependent upon whether or not someone has
sanity checked the text. The actual descriptions and names may be wrong
(they're just text)...
But if you use a more advanced editor you can few the actual event
codes...and those are right...or, at least they're "supported". They might
not do what it says they do...but they'll do something.
There is a fairly good AppleScript mailing list. There's a reference to it
on this page:

I understand that Palm Desktop is a common object of derision...er, I mean
discussion. ;-)
