The Beginner's Tutorial (version 0200) works fine for me on Mac OS 9.1.
Based on its having conflicts with just about everything on my Mac
(including other Microsoft products), I would suggest you start by removing
Microsoft Office Manager (both control panel and extension in 9.1). ;->
