Okay, here's what's been happening - under OE, I had all my spam/junk-mail
in a folder nestled under the 'Deleted Items' folder, called '?Spam'. I
maintained that same infratsructure after I set up my Ent'rage.
Since then, the junk-mail rule has refused to move the junk-mail files
properly in the junk/Spam folder.
After all the countless suggestions from you and other helpful denizes of
this list have not worked, I decided to move the folder outside the 'Deleted
Items' folder - and Lo and Behold, suddenly the rules *do* work properly.
Apparently, rules will not 'move' any files to a folder that is nestled
under the 'Deleted Items' folder - why, I have no idea.
Why has this behavior changed, as I can not fathom ANY reason why this could
have been decided on (except as an effort of more 'hand-holding to prevent
users from accidentally deleting a folder, or somesuch thing).
Seriously, this change in bahvior REALLY pissed me off - but I am grateful
to everyone on this list that has tried to help.
