If you leave the Calendar window open, it holds its view. At least for me.
In fact, for me, it seems that if I am set to work week view, close the
calendar with that view open, that when I re-open the calendar, that is the
view that comes up. I'm not sure what your difficulty really is!
Tapping Cmd-4 several times will also shift views of the calendar rather
quickly; thus, if it were not open when launched, clicking Cmd-4 several
times should get to the work week view. That's not great, of course.
The following script, assigned to a keystroke, with "Akua Sweets" scripting
addtion installed, would do it for you in a single stroke:
tell application "Microsoft Entourage"
activate
puppet menu {"Window", "Calendar"}
delay 1
puppet menu {"View", "Work Week"}
end tell
It needs the delay to let the "View" menu update after the calendar comes
up.
