It turned out to be a conflict you had with a two-bit utility called
"Default Folder", or something like that, if I remember correctly.

I'm sure that there's something missing in your make-do Navigation Services
that Entourage expects. Really, Gary, you're using up-to-date expensive
software (from somewhere) on outdated OS. You're always best using the
software made for the current OS. I'm sure that with OS 8.1, OE 4.5 works
perfectly. I know that Entourage is supposed to work OK with OS 8.1, but
isn't it time you upgraded to 9.1, or at least 8.6? Once you're upgrading,
might as well go all the way. If your hardware, disk space and RAM can
handle Office 2001, surely it can handle OS 9, or 8.6?
