I prefer to use the Microsoft Script App "Open Contact" downloadable from
the Microsoft website.
- It's a standalone app so you can start searching with Entourage closed or
in the background.
- It seems fast to me but my address book only runs to 350 contacts (unlike
Joseph's hefty 2,000).
- It seems to yield better results than Paul's "Open Contact Name E 1.2".
For instance (and it's only one instance) I was searching for someone with a
double-barrelled name (like John Morgan Jones) and I entered Jones and
Paul's script didn't find them whereas the Microsoft one did.
Furthermore the accompanying script "Copy Contact" allows you to quickly and
easily grab someone's address to the clipboard.
Just my 2¢.
