Actually I thought of a third and it's also inspired by Outlook on the
peecee:
3. A decent "Today" window/pane/whatever
Outlook has a nifty window called "Outlook Today" (sounds like a bad
regional TV news programme). It lists Appointments, Tasks and Messages and
is great for layzee boys like me who don't want to visit three different
screens to catch up on everything. And don't say I should use the "Items
Received or Due Today" in the Custom Views or some such; it just gives you
another messy list and takes ages to search (database optimization again).
Now the top-left-hand pane of the Calendar in Entourage is something vaguely
like it but it is erratic, for example, in handling Tasks: I have Tasks due
today (they're shown), I have a Task due date tomorrow (it is shown in this
Today pane, not sure why), but a Task due the next day isn't shown, and
uncompleted Tasks from yesterday aren't shown (Huh? Should I just forget
about them?).
Actually that makes a fourth:
4. Better Task handling
A way of making uncompleted tasks from yesterday be carried over to today.
Palm Desktop did it like a nagging wife, I want Entourage to nag me too.
That's enough for now. Maybe I'll be back with some more..?
