Microsoft folks...
Go and buy the now defunct "In Control" software from the now defunct Attain
(or at least review it for some great ideas).
It was my calendaring program of choice, and remains a staple on my system
(although now I use it only to produce calendars for copy/distribution for
specific events...when folks arrive for a workshop/conference they get a
calendar, made with In Control).
It has incredible output configuration, can show Outline views with some
items being on the calendar others not, it links to FileMaker pro or other
apps (...mine is setup to link to records in my FileMaker Call Tracking db)
If Palm can scoop up Claris Organizer (which was a head-to-head for In
Control) and make do, then certainly there could be some leap-frogging
benefit in this case.
When In Control went by the wayside, I really tried Claris Organizer (and
that not so shabby Espresso that Apple released on some Performa systems)
and just could not do without the features of In Control.
I would continue to use it now for everything-calendar if modern niceties
were present (like a fat scripting dictionary).
