I've toyed with the idea of writing a script that will export messages in a
"setext" format. This is a plain text file with some very simple "heading"
structures. BBEdit has recently come out with support for the SETEXT format;
that is, you can open the file and see what is basically a subject index to
its content. Clicking a subject takes you to the related message. Since
BBEdit is scriptable, there could also be a way to script things like doing
replies or transferring messages back to Entourage. But since I do own
FileMaker (albeit only v4), I keep running up against my own
objections...why bother doing this when John Carlsen's archive package is so
close to being done, and the beta is already working for me?

Isn't there a problem with Sherlock indexing, in that it does not actually
index every word of a file...just the first N words (some number like 200
seems to be what I've heard)?
