(Tim, correct me if I'm wrong) -- my understanding is yes, and the way
you've done it here: space ellipsis period.

Except now that I've said it, I wonder if the ellipsis is called for at the
end of a quote like this. Time to check Chicago or APA.

Also, I think some page layout programs let you use thin-spaces (I'm pretty
sure PageMaker and FrameMaker do), and I've sometimes found that surrounding
ellipses with thin spaces looks better than either full spaces or no space.

You know, the times when Entourage changes to a capital after an ellipsis is
annoying, but I'm currently appreciating the benefits of autocorrect in my
email client more than I'm bothered by the occasional annoyance (and I may
just turn off the auto-capital option, because I tend to use ellipses more
in email). I've noticed several times in messages when the autocorrect
(replace text) fixes something for me, like transposed letters in common
words. It's really a nice feature. And having the dictionary tied to my Word
dictionary is nice too, so that once I tell it to remember something like
"grammaticization" I don't have to tell it again in Word, or vice versa.

Except, I seem to see that if I have both Word and Entourage running, and I
add a word to the dictionary in Word, it doesn't get recognized in Entourage
until I re-launch it. I guess Entourage is loading the dictionary when it
launches and not checking if another Office component has changed the
dictionary?
