Hi e'ragers,

I'm using a Powerbook Firewire 500, 512M RAM, OS 9.1 with iTunes and QT5
PR3. I'm a web developer, so I have almost all the Adobe, MS and
Macromedia apps (with their various extensions) on my system.

PROBLEM:
I need some s.o.s. After working seamlessly for months, E'rage stopped
working this morning. I get unavoidable Type 2 errors which won't even
allow me to rebuild the database. When I reboot with extensions off, then
I CAN access E'rage, but I can't connect to the internet (so this isn't
really helpful).

Since I can connect without extensions, I assume that there is a conflict.
The only major application I installed last night was QT 5 PR 3. I'm
going to retrograde to QT4 and see if this solves the problem. Is there a
documented issue with the latest QT Beta? Any other reasons for Type 2
errors (moreover what IS a Type 2 error?). Any advice?

It's the middle of a workday (Pacific time), so I'm going to avoid an
advanced rebuild of my database (100Megs) b/c I can't afford to spend any
more time on this until after 6pm... just wanted to throw out the question
and see if anyone has an idea of what might be the root of the crashes?

Thanks,

Nicholas
