If you were using the QT Beta, that could have been it. I have been a beta
tester many times...and am pretty sure beta stands for bug. You might also
try getting rid of the windows media plugin. A list member named Diane wrote
down a pretty extensive list of things to trash, and after I followed her
instructions, everything worked fine.
