I am using MSN as my isp, and use the pop server for my email. Most of the
time, things work fine using entourage to fetch the mail. However,
frequently, it does not work properly. The status box indicates that mail is
being received, but it really is not. It shows that a message is being
received with many more to go, but nothing happens. If I stop receiving and
then immediately try to receive again via the menu selection, it then may
work ok for a message or two and then hang.
There seems to be a problem with the transition from one message to another.
Almost always when this happens, if I go to my PC and use outlook, the
messages are received fine.
Any idea what's wrong? Is it MSN? I tend to think it's a problem with
Entourage's implementation of msn pop protocol.
