Add more RAM and lower the memory allocation for Entourage to 8192KB (it
probably doesn't need as much as you've allocated unless you're running some
kind of mail archiver).   I had a similar (although not as severe) problem
when I first received my TiPB which came with 128MB RAM. As soon as I
upgraded the RAM to 512MB, any slowness I experienced disappeared.  In spite
of OS X's Virtual Memory schemes, OS X likes as much RAM as you can give it
and seems to be less critical of the processor.  A 350MHz B&W G3 with 768MB
was MUCH faster for all Classic tasks than the 500MHz PB when it had 128MB.
