One thing I noticed about switching between OS X and OS 9 on the same
machine is that it tends to wreak havoc with preferences - kills your menu
bar battery indicator, screws with your location manager settinsg, and
lastly, messed with IE and Entourage prefs (less so, though, than the other
aforementioned ones).

On IE, I noticed it ended up resetting and reconfiguring network settings
(probably related to 'Internet' configuration settings, and on Entourage it
just asked me, upon relaunching it, if I want it to be my preferred app.

Is there any easy way to lock down prefs, or will I need to backup my prefs
folder everytime I switch back between OS X and OS 9?

Harry
