Your setup is fine. I go a step or two further. I have my entire Documents
folder on a separate partition, and all my OS 9 applications, including
Office, on yet another. Plus OS 9 and OS X systems each on their own
partition. I put aliases to the entire Documents and Applications (OS 9)
folders on my OS 9 partition, and also aliases to the whole Documents and
Applications (OS 9) folders on each others' partitions as well. Everything
works perfectly booted from either OS 9.1 or in Classic when booted from OS
X.
