That's how it's written to work; there is no setting. It's a good idea to
keep a grandfather copy in case anything goes wrong while writing the
backup. But you <could> delete the grandfather after the new backup is
complete, if you like. Open the script in Script Editor and change the last
line:
end tell
To this:
if SecondBackupExists then
move FirstBackupFolder to trash
end if
end tell
That may look like you are deleting the primary backup, but that is because
the variable now points to what <was> the primary backup but is now the
grandfather. Try it, it works.
