I didn't even get to step 3. My Mac froze up solid as soon as I clicked
Record. A blank system dialog box opened and then nothing...

Looks like a bug. As I recall, Entourage is not recordable. I think that's
why I have not tried this for ages; I discovered that nothing gets recorded
anyhow. But even if it isn't recordable, it should do nothing, not freeze
the whole system.
