Title: Re: Problem faxing
I can’t speak for Denes, but I wasn’t blaming anyone.  I was merely pointing out that with FaxElite, the same behavior occurs. The keyboard combo to switch from Print to Fax in the file menu doesn’t work with any MS app, but it works in every other app I need to fax from. Lighten up, Paul :) We’re not blaming you.

Dear List members,
I have a problem faxing a word document. I am using Word 2001 for Mac, as part of Office 2001 for Mac running under MacOS9.01. I am also using FaxSTF 5.1. My problem is that I would like to fax a letter I typed up in Word. I am aware that I can, or should be able to, change the print command under file to fax command by means of a keyboard shortcut but this has ceased to work for me. I wonder if some kind person can point me in the right direction, unless, of course, Microsoft in their omniscient wisdom has arbitrarily withdrawn this facility from Office 2001 for Mac.
I would appreciate any help.

People always seem to enjoy blaming Microsoft for all sorts of things. I have no trouble using the option key to change the File menu in Word to show Fax instead of Print. If I select that, my GlobalFax program opens ready to fax. GF is now a discontinued app, so they didn't do anything special to accommodate Office 2001 – the feature was put there by MS. It's true that you can't press option-command-P to get there, but still, pressing Option key, then going to the File menu with the mouse and selecting FAX is still pretty easy. If it doesn't work in FaxSTF, you should complain to FaxSTF.
