The reason it's not dumb of the 2001 installer is that, if you want, you can
run both Office 98 and Office 2001 on the same machine. (People who want to
use the ODBC drivers provided with Excel 98, but not Excel 2001, fore
example, have to do just that.) use the Office 98 Remover if you want to
trash extensions and preferences not needed in Office 2001.
