I had the same problem but do not recall exact steps to resolution.
I ended up messing with the switch identity option in the file menu.
I think on the switch identity window you can create a new identity. Rename
it. Then try copying your DB items from other partition into new identity
folder. Start Entourage. Quit. Make alias. Wallah.
I think. Try messing with the Switch Menu though. It took me a few attempts,
but it works well.
