I don't think the message caused my mac. I think other circumstances caused
my mac to crash while receiving it. What's weird is that all properties
display in the message list pane, but the content appears to be gone.

Yes.

Unfortunately, IMAP is not available at my mail server.

Will Mail Siphon look inside my database and find the message?

I guess that means Mail Siphon will do no good for me.. The good news for
the MacBU team at MS is that rebuild after a database crash appears to be
working in Entourage 2001. The bad news for me is that the message (and
possibly others) are gone.. :(
