Hey, folks -- just a note on thinking.

One person made an honest mistake and posted a reply to the list. Don't
blame him: the list sets reply-to, so no matter what you do, a reply goes to
the list. Most folks don't know (or don't think to look) to see if they have
to manually force their mailer to do what they said to do. This ain't HIS
fault. It's the list's fault for overriding a person when replying and
forcing an action on him.

But even ignoring that. We had one misplaced post. We've now had at least
THREE responses jumping on the guy for making a mistake. One original
mistake.

Why weren't those done privately? Why did they have to also be done in
public? Because now, instead of a single piece of noise, we now have four
pieces of noise, three of which are chastising a person for creating noise.
Even though the list settings made him in the first place.

Think, folks. If you're complaining about stuff like posts on the list, why
is doing it as a post on the list helping cut the noise?

You three who did this took a tiny mistake and turned it into a much larger
hunk O' noise. How did that help the list?
