If the return address if faked, then how would I write back to them to fall
into their trap?

Also, I've heard warnings not to respond because it confirms your own
address, but I don't really buy into the logic.  After all, it costs them
absolutely nothing to keep addresses on their lists which they aren't sure
are real or not.  I doubt they go through their lists every month and trash
the ones that give no responses...
