Here's an obscure one. Because I was testing something unrelated, I had to change my password on my account. This, of course, caused entourage to stop being able to log in to check my mail.
Entourage happily warned me and asked me for my new password, but the authorization kept failing. After double-checking my password, I went in to the account area and changed the password there -- and Entourage started working again. So it looks like it knows enough to ask for the new password, but when it authorizes, it uses the old value (FWIW, the account has "store password in keychain" checked, and I bet it's using the keychain value, not the new, entered one. Yes, I specialize in weird bugs like this, thank you for asking...
