If you add any of these "intruders" to your Address Book (easy way, click to
let them appear as recipients in a message, then control-click on the
recipient name and choose "Add to Address Book", new contact card opens then
immediately delete them from the Address Book (easy way, just delete from
the contact card that opened), they won't come back. But another will take
its place. Much better is to just be patient. Within a few weeks you will
have just frequent recent correspondents in that list. it's a wonderful
feature that lets you reply quickly and easily to recent correspondents
without having to search for them nor having to add them all to you address
Book, resulting in an Address Book of several thousand contacts slowing down
the app. Just repress your natural inclination of feeling you've been
invaded, and you'll see how helpful it can be. You can always get rid of
particularly annoying ones by the Add and Delete method. Also, you can give
really important people in your Address Book distinctive, unique nicknames,
and type those so this person is always top of the list. Or upgrade to
Entourage X.
