You know, for me it doesn't appear. I keep it closed, and when my Send/Receive schedule fires, I never see the PW. (Don't know about news). Like Paul, I'm on DSL, but I'm certain it still doesn't appear. I have it set to appear in an area of the screen where I'm pretty sure I'd notice it. It just doesn't open.
