Denes means it needs at least double the size of the database, he means in
free hard disk space. (I'm not sure if it needs double, or just the same
plus a bit.) But it does need a huge amount RAM to do such a thing. If you
are in OS 9, allocate as much as you have available when you close all other
apps. If you are in OS X, just close all other apps and it will take as much
as it can get on its own (no way to allocate RAM in OS X, and not
necessary). Before you rebuild, also trash the Preference file in your
Identity's folder.
