Friends, In Entourage 2001 I used Paul B's great script "Address Word Letter" v. 2.4.1 to quickly and easily highlight an address in Entourage and have a letter created in Word.
Question: Does this script work for Ent X? (From the application icons at AppleScriptCentral, I would guess not, although I understand that some 2001 scripts do work in X) If not, is there a quick and easy "built-in" way to create a letter or envelope from within Ent X, as one can do in the PIMs NC/NUTD and Personal Organizer? I had been under the impression that this "shortcoming" would be addressed in Ent X, and that I would no longer have to rely on scripting, but unless I'm missing it, I don't see any sort of one or two click solutions in Ent X. If you are on your own in creating a letter, or envelopes for that matter, I'd love to hear how others solve this issue. Do you ignore Ent X, and just create letters from within Word X, using templates and letterheads you create yourself, and then do the Autotext Address Book insertion of addressees? Or perhaps do you use a Wizard? Or do you create macros in Word X, to automate your letter creation? Or some combination of the above? I suspect I will just make some custom templates of my own, put them in the Gallery, and use the AutoText feature to insert addresses, but being lazy, I was hoping for something "built-in" like what I had come to grow used to in NC/NUTD or Personal Organizer -- or a great script like Paul's Address Word Letter. Thanks for any and all ideas or suggestions. Steve ~*~ "Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend.
