Well, pasting the FTP URL from the e-mail to my browser worked, and the download seemed to complete correctly.
But, like Rich, I'd like to learn how to make the this work "like it should". I'm using Entourage 10.0.1 and IE 5.1.3. When I click on the underlined URL in Entourage, I get a slight pause then a "beep". (IE is already running). When I CMD-click on the URL, nothing happens. I could find no preferences in Entourage that seemed to affect how Entourage handles FTP URLs. In IE, there is a preference for specifying a "helper application" (protocol helpers) for various URLs, including FTP. I have the default set for FTP, which uses IE to handle the download. When I pasted the URL into a browser window, IE handled it just fine. So, the question is how does one configure Entourage and/or Internet Explorer to properly allow IE (or a different application like Fetch) to handle FTP URLs?
