'The action could not be completed. An error has occurred (-8796)'
I posted earlier today about this message which has disabled Entourage. To up-date that post I have subsequently re-installed OfficeX and also removed the Microsoft User Files or to no avail...
At the time of the crash, I was using various fonts for ‘List Items’...although I have only lost 12 hours of data since earlier back up Entourage I am somewhat troubled...Paul or one of the knowing....assistance would be helpful....thanks in advance
Sorry, William. I really don't know this one. If you're going to reinstall, you should first use the Office X Remover first. I believe it comes on the CD in the Value Pack, or on the MacTopia site. But before that, you should try a Database Rebuild. You'll probably need an Advanced, although you could try a Typical first. Did you not try that? Hold down the Option key when you launch Entourage, and choose Typical or Advanced Rebuild. (If it refuses to rebuild, go to {OS X Hard Disk]/Users/[your user]/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/ and remove Entourage Preferences file and then try again.)
