Entourage 2001 would not allow you to store foreign phone numbers in any
format other than your local one (if you had that preference on), which was
ridiculous, and much complained about.
So Entourage X has been improved: if you put any formatting in (like those -
hyphens), it will leave it alone, to allow foreign phone numbers to coexist.
To get your own default formatting to operate, enter NO formatting at all:
xxxxxxxxxx
will still format to your default of
(xxx) xxx-xxxx
and is quicker to type, too.
