Are you sure its only when you have the message window open?  It doesn't
make sense that that would be a factor.
There are some known (and fixed in the SR) issues with repeated prompt
for password, but nothing having to do with a message window being open.

Hi there.

I've got this weird problem. Whenever I am reading (or composing) a
message in the 'full view' (that is, not in the preview pane) Entourage
(2001) comes up with an error message telling me that it couldn't
download my email from my account 'cause I supply the correct password.
Same thing happens when I'm on the internet using Explorer (5.0). The
thing is, my password is correct, always the same, 'cause I have 'save
password' on.

So, what's happening here? How to avoid it?
