To fix a bug, I had to reinstall Office X and create a new Entourage identity. Fine. Recreated criteria for task custom views. When in Task, I go up to “View” and select “Incomplete Tasks.” When I complete a task, it puts a line through the task but it remains in the list in this window. Before my rebuild, the task would then disappear from this window. How can I get that to happen again?
Paul, you wrote
View menu --> select Incomplete Tasks (instead of All Tasks). Did you not try that?
In my original email (above) I indicated “When in Task, I go up to “View” and select “Incomplete Tasks.” Seems like that’s the same thing you’re talking about. Am I missing something?
Nope, that's what should work. What you're describing is what should happen when "Incomplete Tasks" is not checked, but unchecked. If you're sure it already has a checkmark next to it, something's wrong. If it doesn't have a checkmark, then you toggled it off instead of on - toggle it ON again.
(BTW, Richard, blue is the standard color in plain text for quoted text first level, not for your new reply. So it was a bit confusing to see your new message in blue, although not confusing now in this email where I'm quoting you. I'd suggest you might want to pick another color.)
