Just FYI, I have the same problem, but with switching accounts once the message is written (which, of course, switches the sig line to the one I have assigned to the new account). If I forget to save the message before I switch accounts away from my default, I often lose half the message or more. I can't recall if it happens when I only switch sigs since I do that so seldom.
