Title: Re: AT&T no access to work from home
Actually the AT&T support person was right (I am as surprised as you are).  The web access site for remote email is:

https://commcenter.attbi.com/

I suspect that you cannot use an email client because AT&T is doing some sort of authentication using the hardware address of your cable modem at home, but I am not sure as I have never tried to access remote AT&T email using Entourage or Outlook Express.  I have tried it using Outlook on a mail server at my old office and it never worked.

The transition from mediaone to attbi has been terrible.  I can’t wait for the Comcast transition . . .

Subject: AT&T no access to work from home

I don't know how many people used to have mediaone, but recently AT%T
changed all our e-mail addresses to the new attbi.com address from
mediaone.net since then I have followed their set-up changes and everything
works fine at home but when at work I can no longer retrieve mail from my
home account. Some inexperienced person at AT&T help said I could only
access my home e-mail from work via the web which is nonsense.
I need to know and apparently nobody at AT&T knows how to set-up an account
in Entourage on OSX for retrieving my home e-mail.
Has anyone had the pleasure of dealing with AT&T and getting the response
that they do not support OSX or Entourage yet? Come on Both have been out a
year now!
Ready for Verizon?
