Drag one of these files to the finder, and do a 'get info' on it. >From the Pop-Up, select 'Open with Application'. Click on the document icon just below the pop-up and select your preferred application there. Now press 'Change All' at the bottom of the window. OS X uses three methods to determine what application to bind to a file. In order: If the file has a Creator Type that is recognised, then that application will be used. If there is no creator type, or the creator type is not present on your disks, then the Finder will look at the file name extension (like windows) in order to use whatever application you prefer (you set your preference by going through the routine described above). Finally, if none of these work, the Finder will look at the file type attribute (if present) and use that in a similar way to the extension. If it's still stuck, the Finder will usually ask you what you want to open the file with. -- Barry Wainwright <http://www.barryw.net> There are no such things as stupid questions, just stupid people that ask questions. -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
