Ah, FUD - good tactics (ROTFLOL). I hear that's also one of the current answers within Apple - "Oh, you run some hacks? That's why the OS isn't fast..." "Oh, you run some hacks, that's why [insert standard bug behavior here]". Yes, I run Duality, Tinkertool settings, and WindowShadeX - I'd be interested to know how those interfere with disk I/O by Entourage... > You > might want to reconsider. If you really prefer OS 9, you might really want > to spend your time there. Entourage 2001 still works pretty well. I already have reconsidered - the moment you announced your utility to convert v.X back to Entourage 2001, that's all I'm waiting for right now to switch back. While I certainly like certain things (Terminal, being able to prototype PHP and MySQL web stuff on the laptop), the rest of the mess that constitutes OS X is simply too much of a pain as it stands in the way of actually doing real more more than any other OS I ever used. Seriously, if the Mac OS had been like OS X when I made the switch back in 1985, I'd be using a PC now and loving every minute of Windows... and that's a horrible testimony. In my opinion, OS X has masterfully become just like Windows - requiring full regular reinstalls, and all that good stuff. > Good thing you've still got it. Yeah, I have it now. Good thing for the system creating a backup. Thanks MacBU folks.
