I finally figured out - partially - why Entourage was crashing while downloading mail. I knew it wasn't a corrupt email or SPAM because it was even happening when I was certain I had no mail waiting. Finally I discovered that the server at work was reporting a log on error. As soon as I resolved this the crashing stopped.
I recently upgraded to OS X 10.1.4 and I wonder if this has anything to do with it. I see lots of people reporting instability after this upgrade. ======================================================================== Say you were standing with one foot in the oven and one foot in an ice bucket.
