But have you tried an AppleScript? Since you're in Entourage 2001 (which, of
course you didn't say), you can use
Export Contacts E-E
(which may still be known by the name of an earlier version
Export Selected Contacts [Entourage version] )

For those in Entourage X, I have a set a new scripts to be released very
soon which do that and much more (also a 2001 version).
