I've been happily using all of you wonderful folks' apple scripts, which
seemed to do everything I wanted. Then today as I was printing to a file for
the millionth time (okay, it just seemed like that :-)), it occurred to me
that I ought to be capable of writing a simple little script to do it. Am I?
Where should I start? What I want to do is tell the computer to launch the
print dialog, select "output options" click on "save to file" and then
offer me the save dialog so I can decide where to save the file and what to
call it. Is that the sort of thing Applescript can do? If it is, I'll go off
and read the Apple info on AS and see where I get (should I confess that the
last time I wrote any programs it was in Autocoder in 1964 or so? At least
I'm not weighed down by a lot of expectations of things the compiler is
supposed to do for me as I would be if I'd used C or something like that
:-)). TIA
