Drop into Terminal and try: telnet mail.hostname.dom 25 If the hostname you've been given is actually running SMTP you'll get a response indicating successful login to the SMTP server and possibly server name and version. Just type "quit" to exit. If you do not get a response, then you have the wrong hostname. -Remo Del Bello -- When an agnostic dies, does he go to the "great perhaps"? -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
