I'm using Entourage 2001. In the folder contents window, you can use a quick filter like "Subject contains ______." However, I've noticed that if I use "To contains domain" it doesn't work. In other words, if I don't know the name of the recipient, or the recipient doesn't have a name (i.e., I simply entered the email address manually), the filter doesn't "find" the messages.
For example, today I was trying to find all messages I had recently sent to my domain provider so that I could move them to another folder for my records. The messages were all sent to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" Since I know I've send messages to other "support" addresses, I tried to filter by "To contains domainprovider" -- logically, this should work, but it doesn't. This also doesn't work if I use the regular "Find" command with the "Search subjects, titles, and names only" box selected. The solution is to do a full search including the body; however it seems to me that a quick search/filter or regular search of the "To" field (or "From" for that matter) should catch the search term if it's in the email address itself. I guess this is kind of a bug report; does Entourage X behave differently? -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
