This has been my first encounter with this program and therefore I am
not in a position to comment. What I do know however is that I get a
swag of messages indicating the availability of the latest update and
indeed the latest update is slated as THE answer to any problems.
Generally I do not get informed that the particular latest update be it
the one for MacOS X or IE 5.1 is not available except to the initiates
who can run Software Update. I had several instances in the past few
days where I was told to not bother the particular support line until I
had the latest update. Since in my case due to the policies of my ISP I
am unable to run Software Update that leaves me with a system which is
inoperative in some, to me essential parts. The helpers with my ISP are
not prepared to bother with someone not running MS Windows, which leaves
me very much on my own, hence my frustration.
