Or doing just what the default setting specified, which isn't quite the same thing, hmm? And since the topic has come up in this thread... my accounts are all POP rather than IMAP. This is largely through almost total ignorance of what is different about IMAP and what it's advantages or disadvantages are. Perhaps some kind-hearted soul could outline the differences or point me towards a useful online reference source. TIA.
