Following Mr. Tea's recipe, I now have "Play Sound" written so that I can use it in Rules to play my sound of choice when a particular rule is in effect. Problem is that my existing "New Mail" notification sound also plays. I note that there is a checkbox in Rules which offers to negate any other rules, but it seems to be always greyed out.
Besides, I don't think that the "New Mail" sound is generated from a script, but actually in Preferences. So I suppose this means that I will have to have a script to trigger a sound for each rule and then go to General Preferences and select to have no sounds played from that source. Am I making this complicated than it need be? -- Thomas S.
