Maybe you can give me a better suggestion, but here is what I'm thinking... Someone send me an email asking for product information, I want to add them to the mailing list. So the rule adds them. Problem is, I may already have them on the list from when they bought a product, and in that case all I have is the email address, not the name associated with it. So to remove duplicates, I need to get down to the base name.
