Thanks for the response, Jim. An update on my IMAP issue: I moved all the messages (<400) out of my inbox and it started working fine. However, I can't list the temp folder I moved them to!!! Furthermore, now that my recently emptied inbox has more than 6 messages in it, it won't list. When I use Entourage (2001) to nuke a few messages and then go back to Entourage X, it works like a charm!
In terms of settings, I have all the fields filled in in "Account Settings" (including the box checked for stashing he password in the keychain). None of "advanced" options for sending or receiving are selected. In the "Options" tab, only "Send commands to the server simultaneously" is checked.
