Yes, I got an invitation from Allen which I Accepted Tentatively, and there were the same three options to respond with comments, respond without comments, or not respond. Of course if you don't click the "Accept Tentatively" link you don't see the options and by default you're not responding. I've asked Allen to send me an update later when I will decline, to see if the event is then automatically deleted on second go-round.
